#1 University of Phoenix- Online Campus
This for-profit college has been dubbed the “diploma mill” by many students and education experts. The university has been accused of using high-pressure tactics to enroll students, providing them with little academic support, and leaving them with mountains of debt.
#2 ITT Technical Institute
This for-profit college chain has been under scrutiny for years, and things came to a head in 2016 when the Department of Education banned the school from enrolling new students who were receiving federal financial aid.
